THE TIME IS SOON approaching for the Democratic National Convention, Aug. 25th – 28th. As the country's excitement grows for the possibility of seeing some real change come to the White House, we still have work to do to make it happen. We need to have a successful Convention in Denver, Colorado that inspires and encourages the nation to rally behind Barack Obama and other Democrats on the ticket.

I will be going to Denver as a national delegate-alternate, representing the voters of California's 42nd Congressional District. It is a great privilege to have been elected as part of Senator Hillary Clinton's California delegation, and I continue to be a strong supporter of her work improving this country. I am now incredibly excited by my role in ensuring that the interests of all Democrats are taken into account as the party unites behind Barack Obama, and I am very eager to make sure that the concerns, issues, and hopes of Chino Valley residents are properly represented. Further, as a young delegate under 25, I am excited about standing for the youth in our neighborhoods and being their voice in Denver this summer as the national platform is adopted. Representing you at the Convention will be remembered as one of the great honors of my life.
